(912) 375-7781 extension 240 Respite Care This is a program designed to provide medically supervised food and lodging to "Homebound" individuals because of temporary absence or need for relief of those persons normally providing care. It is the caregiver's responsibility to bring the patient items needed for daily care (medications, diapers, items needed for wound care, dietary supplements, etc.). Patients are not hospitalized but are guests with medical support available in the event of an emergency. Individuals requiring intensive skilled nursing care or hospitalization are not candidates for this program. This service is not covered by third party insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. |
